Fraud description:

This scam includes a person who claims to work for, or with, Safello that contacts you by phone or email. The person promises to help you get back lost capital if you only pay a fee, or make a signature with your BankID.

Safello has no such outreach activities and we neither manage nor invest our customers' assets, which means that we cannot refund funds that you have sent to an unauthorized third party.

If you follow the person’s instructions, you may lose the funds you deposit without any delivery of the service that they promise. Additionally, there are cases, where accepting BankID requests is used to approve a request for a loan in the victim’s name, or BankIDs are hijacked and bank accounts emptied if you allow someone to access your computer via a screen sharing tool.

You can read more about this in the related article about investment fraud, found here.

Always contact the police in case of fraud attempts.

When you buy cryptocurrency, always place the funds directly in your own wallet address, which you control yourself, and make sure that you are the only person who has access to the private key to the wallet.
